FUZZ is a weekly drum and bass night that has been happening at the Bloomfield Bridge Tavern since
May of 2000. It's all about bass, beer and pierogis. We bring in local, national and international djs,
who play along with our crew of 412DNB resident djs. It's mainly been drum and bass, but you're just
as likely to hear other sounds in the breakbeat and bass family, from dubstep, hiphop, idm, breakcore, garage, etc.

GRIDLOK (PROJECT 51 / RAM / VIRUS) LOS ANGELES Gridlok is one of the very few American producers to attain the highest level of accomplishments normally reserved for native UK artists in Drum & Bass. He continues to blow the doors off of the Drum & Bass world with a steady stream of vinyl releases on labels like RAM, PLAYAZ and his own PROJECT 51 imprint. His mus…ical collaborators range from Elhornet of Pendulum to the legendary AK1200 and his music has found its way onto the latest Dieselboy mix “UNLEASHED”. Project 51, Gridlok’s label, is set to release one of the most anticipated artist albums in Drum & Bass this year in the form of TERMINUS by New Zealand’s CERN (*due late spring 2011). Project 51 releases music designed to rock dancefloors and synapses with equal ferocity. It’s a label know to be unafraid to shatter boundaries and create musical situations unavailable from any other label. http://www.projectfiftyone.com/ http://soundcloud.com/gridlokdnb http://www.discogs.com/artist/Gridlok http://www.cgibookings.com/ As always, FUZZ!! goes down every Wednesday at the Bloomfield Bridge Tavern. Cost at the door is $7 10pm-2am 21+, please bring id! $1.10 bottles till midnight and half off shots 8-10! 412dnb.com

::: ONRA
Onra is a French beatmaker currently residing in Paris. First introduced to Pittsburgh at the 2010 VIA Festival, Onra is back by popular demand.
Onra released his first album with other french producer and friend Quetzal (Al Quetz) in 2006. A hip-hop tribute to soul music which was played several times by Gilles Peterson, Benji B, and covered on Okayplayer.com.
At the same time, he started collaborating with American keyboard player called Byron The Aquarius and released an album under the name of The Big Payback in 2007 on Japanese label Circulations. A project full of different influences such as futuristic hip-hop, spaced out and jazzy broken beats. They also appeared on highly praised compilations such as Beat Dimensions and New Worlds.
Scheduled to play SXSW 2011.
A bold step back to the time when big acoustics mattered but still keep it very 2011 – falling somewhere blissfully between the experimental side of Animal Collective and the accessible side of Fuck Buttons. Golden Ages isn’t really a chillwave artist at all, but instead represents that missing link between the artists that influenced the birth of chillwave (especially Panda Bear/Animal Collective) and the honest-to-god chillwave artists like Neon Indian, MillionYoung, and Memory Tapes.
Discuss/ Ekofield/ Young Frankenstein/ Olimpic86/ Ferrari Dark/ EkoFarm
Lush/Ambient. Tropical/Industrial. Hard beats/floating melody. A perfect contradiction in sound that leaves you practically weightless.
The best of the golden era and new gems in hip-hop, reggae, go-go and house.
Deep-sea diving meets acid skies.

On June 16, 2010, FUZZ!! is proud to present the first-ever Pittsburgh performance from:

Sinistarr has cemented himself as a major name in international Drum and Bass. Sinistarr’s distinct sound reflects the musical landscape of his hometown Detroit, Michigan, combining the sounds of Detroit Techno, House and Detroit Electro into his own blend of Drum and Bass, citing main influences such as Aux 88, Drexciya, Derrick May, and Aril Brikha, among many others. As a result, Sinistarr has become one of the most exciting fresh contributors to the American DnB scene as a producer, and DJ.

As a producer, Sinistarr’s music has been supported by top names including Goldie, Marcus Intalex, Fabio (BBC Radio 1), London Electricity and Commix. He has released music on many well known labels including Creative Source (Detroit Diesel), Deep Soul Music (“Recovery”), Hospital Records (Black Diamonds), and works closely with San Diego’s own Peer Pressure Recordings where he also works in their A&R department.

The last 12 months have been huge for Sinistarr. In October and November of 2008 he was featured in Knowledge Magazine, and has also received radio support from the biggest names in Electronic music including Pete Tong on his "In New Music We Trust" show, 4 times on Dj Hype’s show on KISS FM UK, countless plays on Fabio’s Drum & Bass show on BBC Radio One, Bailey and Crissy Cris on BBC 1Xtra, Gereard on Hospital's Drive-By show (KISS FM) and has also featured on 7 of the Hospital Records Podcasts - one the most played artists of the podcast. Sinistarr has also had tunes released on Offshore's Buried Treasure 2, MJazz's Modernists CD and the Hospital Records’ Sick Music CD.

In 2009 Sinistarr Joined Driven AM, the US based Artist Management and Record Label and has released a EP entitled ‘Load Screen’. Additional upcoming releases include a remix for local Detroit band and record label Exchange Bureau Music, original tunes for Qilin Music (ran by Kiat - Metalheadz\Function) Prestige Music, Phunkfiction, collaborative efforts with fellow Americans Mixmaster Doc (31\Creative Source) and Submorphics (Good Looking/Westbay), International artists Redeyes (Bingo Beats, Spearhead - France) Agzilla (Metalheadz - Iceland), and a track featured on Deep Soul Music's exclusive shoe collab with the world renowned sports clothing line Lacoste. At the end of 2009, Sinistarr also locked a track with the legendary Metalheadz imprint, becoming the first Detroit born and raised artist on the label, a label that has strong ties to the city.

Things are only looking up going into 2010, as Sinistarr is turning more and more heads in a very big way.
